What are we looking for?
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Information Designer to join our team. This role will play a crucial part in creating, executing, and optimising communication journeys and touchpoints, serving as a valuable resource for both internal and client-facing initiatives.
The Information Designer will collaborate closely with clients to drive business benefits and improve customer experience through the refinement of their customer communication journeys and touchpoints across multiple channels.
The Information Designer will also collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure a pragmatic approach to the design and composition of communications, ensuring that solutions can be efficiently developed and implemented. This role is integral to ensuring our clients' brands maintain consistently great customer experiences, ultimately fostering customer loyalty and driving growth.
What will you be doing?
Journey and Communication Analysis:
- Work with clients to define success criteria for communication journey and touchpoint improvements.
- Review data for existing journeys to identify pain points.
- Evaluate existing journeys and touchpoints across all channels.
- Undertake and document research with customers around their interactions with existing journeys and touchpoints.
- Understand technical considerations around data and composition tools.
- Document all journey and touchpoint variations to ensure an informed design process.
Communication Design:
- Create blueprints for communication journeys.
- Design and write on-brand, accessible, omni-channel touchpoints based on the information design principles of clear design and plain language content.
- Ensure the suitability of design approaches for efficient composition using templates and reusable elements.
- User test and iterate proposed journeys and touchpoints to reach the optimum solution.
- Present design and content solutions to clients, offering data-driven reasoning.
Development Support:
- Validate design approaches with development and composition teams on an ongoing basis.
- Create technical documentation for all journeys and touchpoints to ensure accurate development and composition.
Continuous Improvement:
- Monitor analytics tools to ensure performance against agreed success criteria.
- Pro-actively propose solutions to ensure continual improvement of communication journeys and touchpoints.
Client Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with clients to provide expert advice and proactive support.
- Align with client goals, offering guidance beyond a task-based approach to deliver strategic value.
- Support clients’ growth by enhancing their understanding of the benefits of an information design approach to communications.

Who do we need?
Expected entry qualification/experience/skills
- Proven experience in Information Design.
- Strong understanding of designing for composition tools.
- Experience of user research and testing techniques.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements in key sectors.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and clients.
- Proactive and strategic mind-set to identify opportunities for enhancing client service and driving results.
