Much more than a pop group or a band, Madness are quite simply a Great British institution. From their beginnings in 1979 on the Two-Tone label, they are still making new music to this day, and with pretty much the same line-up.
Madness have had 16 UK top ten singles including ‘Baggy Trousers’ and ‘It Must Be Love’ and one UK number-one single with ‘House of Fun’. In 2000, the band received the Ivor Novello Award from the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors for Outstanding Song Collection.
